Tim did what the majority of people did. He grew up in a happy neighborhood. He had friends and girlfriends, a family who loved him and a endless list of opportunities to shape his life the way he wanted. Tim went through high school as many of us did. He also graduated from college and was destined for a picture perfect life in conventional senses.
However there was a gnawing feeling within Tim. He fulfilled his parents and other people’s expectations of him. He got a degree and now possessed a well payed job.
But still after fulfilling all these things it didn’t make him feel fulfilled.
I was looking through my blog and I noticed that I was missing some stories.
I’ve been adding tons of general articles but not so much anything else and I got some funny stories to tell you.
So I decided this can not stand. So I present to you an old short story on my very first french girl.
Nothing amazing happens other than me showing up and getting laid. But I wanted to put it out there for you guys.
We are in many ways our own harshest critic. To be fair that is not a bad thing to be.
You want to be your very best as much as possible. I’m no different. Sometimes it’s borderline unhealthy how critical I am of myself.
But one of the biggest things I learned through that process was being a bit more grateful for what I have and what I’ve already achieved in life. Which made things easier for me.
I’m still critical of myself. I know when I’m not stepping up and I do give myself some stick, when needed. However it’s much less destructive now and more motivating.
It’s important to self analyze and reflect on what you’re doing to help you grow as a person. You don’t want blind growth, since that often doesn’t lead to where you want to be. You want to have a clear cut path and keep moving towards it. But as we all know we hit bumps along the way, which needs a healthy amount of self-reflection to get past.
Michael Jordan was born February 17, 1963 and is a former American professional basketball player, active businessman, father and husband. He is considered being the greatest basketball player of all time and was instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.
He is a legend in the game and has set the standard of what you need to become not only as a model athlete but also a great role model and a leader. However throughout his career he’s also made mistakes and learned from them.
Today I give you 10 lessons I got from Michael Jordan:
The world is a massive place; the universe is even bigger. We are only tiny speckles of dust compared to it. It’s easy to start thinking what’s the point of it all. What’s the point in going after your dream.
What’s the point in trying to lower taxes or enforcing any new laws. When in the grand scale of it all it doesn’t really make a difference.
One person can’t change the world.
That’s a lie.
